New Season, new me!

With Season 4 of Cold War now live across all platforms, one of the brand new weapons on offer is the C58 Assault Rifle.

The C58 is a full-auto rifle with high damage at close range and a slow rate of fire. It feautres fast bullet velocity, reliable recoil control and a smaller magazine size by default.

This weapon should look familiar to hardcore Call of Duty fans as it's a reincarnation of the G3.

With so many strong weapons in Cold War's multiplayer, what attachments and loadout should you use on this weapon?

Here's our recommended loadout for the C58 and the best attachments.

Best Attachments

For the C58, we need to focus on improving the areas its weakest - that being it's low magazine size and slow rate of fire.

In general, it's a big downgrade in most areas compared to most weapons. Which is why we're going to kit it out with as many attachments as possible.

Here are the best attachments for the C58:

  • Millstop Reflex (Optic)
  • Muzzle Brake 7.62 (Muzzle)
  • 18.2" Takedown (Barrel)
  • Steady Aim Laser (Body)
  • Field Agent Grip (Foregrip)
  • 35 RND Drum (Magazine)
  • Serpent Wrap (Handle)
  • Raider Stock (Stock)

With a gun like this, you'll be better off playing slower and more passive. Set yourself up on some strong points in the map with long lines of sight and go to town on anyone that crosses your sights.

Best Class

As we're playing slower with the C58, moving around won't be something you do as often and since we've kitted out that weapon with 8 attachments, our options are limited.

The GALLO SA12 is your best bet. I'd recommend the following attachments:

  • Duckbill Choke (Muzzle)
  • 24.6" Ranger (Barrel)
  • SWAT 5MW Laser Sight (Body)
  • STANAG 12 RND Tube (Magazine)
  • No Stock (Stock)

Lethal And Tactical

I always believe this comes down to personal preference. But I would opt for a Stun Grenade and C4.

The Stun Grenade is good for slowing down enemies and gives you something to work with when moving up the map.

The C4 is a nice last resort to thwart enemies trying to close the gap between you.

Field Upgrade

If we're playing a slower role, using a Trophy System is often a great choice to stop any nasty explosives hitting you.

We obviously can't use Perk Greed, so we're stuck with just the three perks.

My perferred options are Tactical Mask, Assassin and Ghost.

I'd always choose to go with Tactical Mask over Flak Jacket as Trophy Systems can deal with explosives, but there are no other counters to tactical grenades.

Assassin is great for quickly racking up score and help you on your way to scorestreaks.

Ghost will keep you hidden on the enemy radar as long (as you are relatively mobile).
