Overwatch 2 has now released worldwide, and Blizzard's latest entry into the series has improved in all aspects compared to it's original release.

However, with the release of the most recent April 26 patch, players have been countering a new bug that doesn't allow them to enter matches.

Here's all we know about the Applying Update bug in Overwatch 2!

This new bug has only been affecting players trying to enter into a competitive game, and it also only occurs when you've just found a match, and are trying to load into it.

The rest of your team will be able to load into the match, but you'll be stuck at a loading screen that just reads 'Applying Update.'

The only way to resolve this issue for the time being is to hard close Overwatch 2, meaning shut the game down from your home screen and load back into it.

You'll unfortuantly recieve a 15 minute ban from the queues for this, but this is simply the only way to fix this bug for now.
