Overwatch 2 has now released worldwide, and Blizzard's latest entry into the series has improved in all aspects compared to it's original release.
For those who are new to the series, you may have noticed that at the end of a match, you'll have an option to endorse other players.
Here's what endorsements do within Overwatch 2!
Overwatch 2: What Do Endorsements Do?
Previously in Overwatch 1, endorsements were broken down into three categories.
This endorsement can only be given to teammates. "Players who lead or execute strategies on the battlefield can earn a Shot Caller endorsement." -Official PlayOverwatch site.
- This endorsement can only be given to teammates. "You can reward those who work as highly effective team players with a Good Teammate endorsement." -Official PlayOverwatch site
- This endorsement can be given to either teammates or enemies. "You can give Sportsmanship endorsements to people who are a positive influence in-game." -Official PlayOverwatch site
Now, in Overwatch 2 it appears they've scaled it down a little bit and have only given the option for players to use the Shot Caller endorsement.
So, what do they actually do?
You'll gain Endorsement level depending on how many you recieve from other players, and over time your rank will increase unil a max rank of 5.
In Overwatch 1, players would recieve loot boxes and other rewards for having a good Endrosement level, and with loot boxes gone in Overwatch, we're still waiting to see what Blizzard rewards players with!
So, if you're brand new to Overwatch, you'll have to play a decent bit before you're able to play ranked with your friends! However, one way to master Overwatch 2 is to check out our Roccat Burst Pro Air.
